Nature Republic Forest Garden Chamomile Cleansing Oil Review

The cleanser I'm using now, and am really happy with is the...

...Nature Republic Forest Garden Chamomile Cleansing Oil!

If you're going "Cleansing OIL?!" Read about it in my write up here.

This is a product I got suckered into buying by a sales assistant at Nature Republic when I was looking around for cleansing creams. But true to my buying style, I did not buy it on the spot, but waited a week to think about it and research online. As you can tell, I ended up buying it and am very happy indeed!

I had actually quite made up my mind on buying The Face Shop's Rice Water Bright Cleansing Cream as I had read good things about the product and the goodness of rice water, and it is the cleansing cream that one of my Korean cousins uses. However, I doubted myself because the sales assistant at Nature Republic was absolutely raving about it, saying how she and all the other workers used that cleansing oil.

I told the her that I thought cleansing oil was too oily, and very messy. I said, "I don't want it. Please recommend a cleansing cream". She talked a little about the cleansing creams then went back to the cleansing oil again. I said it was expensive (13,000 KRW for the oils instead of 6000 KRW for the cleansing cream), but she said it was worth it. For all I knew, she was pushing the cleansing oil because it was more expensive, but it had a fancy sticker on it that said it won 1st place in some sort of award.

So I went home and researched it. It won the Allure Korea Best of Beauty 2012 award for cleansing oils. A quick search on it led me to only good reviews, and a search in "cleansing cream vs cleansing oil" search, said that cleansing oils are better for make up removal, which is what I needed.

A week later, I went to Nature Republic again, and I was SO thankful that I had waited a week because there was a sale. I got to buy it for 9,100 KRW instead of 13,000! =)

It works wonderfully in removing my BB cream and it even works on my Missha eyeshadow that doesn't budge with anything but eye-make up remover.

Below is a description on the product, how to use it and its ingredients:

May I stress that it is important to put it on a DRY face. Make sure that your hands, face, and hair is dry so that it doesn't mix with the oil when you first put it on. It works best at dissolving your make up when it is just oil. Later, you can add water to emulsify it.

As for the amount you should use, I'm a little alarmed that the descriptions says that an appropriate amount is 2-3 pumps! That is a LOT of oil. Initially, I only used half a pump, and it was quite adequate. I've gotten a little bolder now, and especially when I have more make up on, I use 1 pump.

Don't worry about it being messy. I just pump it into my palm, rub it between my hands then massage my face with it. Very mess free =)

Definitely massage your face with the oil. My absolute favourite thing about this cleansing oil that makes me so in love with it is how it leaves my face feeling like a baby's butt after I wash it off with a foam cleanser. It's AMAZING! It feels like I've just used an absolutely awesome face mask.

Nature Republic has a whole line of cleansing oils that attends to different needs: Chamomile (soothing), Tea Tree (trouble-relief), Olive (moisturizing), Argan (nourishing), and Green Tea (purifying).

I didn't really know which would be best for me. They all don't seem all that different. I picked chamomile since it's the one that won the award, and it's the only one that has a 500ml version. If it's got a supersize version while all the others don't, you know it's got to be the best.

Is Nature Republic's Forest Garden Chamomile Cleansing Oil a holy grail product?

Well, I can't really say because this is the first cleansing oil I've ever used. But I'm totally in love with it because it makes my face feel like a baby's butt! Baby's butt, I say!

  1. Removed from the brilliant blooms of the Chamomile plant, Chamomile oil is known for its helpful advantages. While there are a few sorts of fundamental oils utilized in fragrant healing, the Roman and German assortments of Chamomile are predominately the most famous across different fundamental oil applications.

Best organic chamomile oils has a place with the Asteraceae family, which was once in the past known as Compositae. Albeit Moroccan Chamomile has a place with a similar herbal family as the German and Roman Chamomile, it is a particularly unique plant. The fundamental oil extricated from Moroccan Chamomile ought not be utilized as a swap or substitute for Roman or German Chamomile oils as it is artificially and odoriferously unique. Moroccan chamomile is otherwise called Tansy Blue and is viewed as a genuine chamomile. This oil contains chamazulene.

While Roman Chamomile is local to southern and western Europe, where it fills in the wild in all temperatures, the German Chamomile is local to focal and northern Europe, filled in Hungary, Egypt, France, Eastern Europe, and Asia. While Roman Chamomile is a low-developing plant with daisy-like blossoms and passes on developing to a stature of up to 25-30 centimeters or 10 inches, the German Chamomile has tall, erect, fanning stems, with sensitive padded leaves and has blossoms that are more modest than that of Roman Chamomile.

Organic chamomile essential oil has an elective natural name, which is Chamaemelum nobile, and German Chamomile additionally has an elective organic name, which is Chamomilla recutita. For the two assortments of Chamomile, the fundamental oil is separated from the bloom part of the plant. Roman Chamomile has a sweet straw and apple-like fragrance, while German Chamomile has a seriously sweet, warm, herbaceous smell with sweet tobacco-like suggestions.

Roman Chamomile is considered as one of the best resembling all Chamomiles. By and large, the scent of Roman chamomile oil is more famous, contrasted with that of the German assortment. On account of its stunning adaptability, Roman Chamomile mixes well with a wide scope of fundamental oils.
